About Our Bass Lessons
Our bass instructors teach rock, blues, metal, country, christian and classical styles. Beginners work on notes, simple songs, sight reading and theory. Each lesson will challenge you with a new technique or music theory, and ends with something fun – such as your favorite riff or song. We employ a variety of bass method books based on student needs and preferences, and encourage students to bring smartphones or tablets to their lessons to learn their favorite tunes.

Rockside offers electric basses for student lessons but to practice at home, you will need a bass. If you can’t find a bass at your local shop, check Sweetwater and American Musical for some good options.
